A question that we are often asked surrounding gas barbecues is, "what gas and what regulator do I need to power my new bbq?" Gas barbecues generally do not include a regulator and a hose kit. The reason for this is because there are so many types of gas bottles and cylinders on the market, here in the UK and in Europe. It is impossible for barbecue manufactures to include every single gas regulator with their barbecues. In this article, we aim to make it that much easier when choosing a gas bottle and a supporting regulator; whether Low-Pressure (LP) or High-Pressure (HP).
Introducing the Carri Chef 2 Gas Barbecue from Cadac, known as the all-in-one outdoor cooking companion! Perfect for the garden or at the campsite this smart unit can cater from small camping groups to families. With a cooking surface around 47cm in diameter allows you to grill your favourites meats and with the lid on, offers in-direct oven type cooking. The dome has a thermometer which allows you to oven roast, smoke meats, steam or bake with confidence!
This version of the Carri Chef 2 comes with a durable non-stick 45cm chef pan perfect for those wish to put their culinary skills to the test! Ideal for cooking those hearty breakfasts and for catering to larger camping groups, this is the perfect combination set from Cadac to start the day right and to see the evening though.
Cadac High Pressure Barbecues are identified as H1 in the product code. Low Pressure Cadac Barbecues feature L1 in the product code.
High Pressure Cadac Barbecues run off EN417 threaded gas cartridges and the gas cartridge is threaded directly into the bottom of the barbecue. You can run and operate your Cadac High Pressure BBQ off our Coleman C300 or Coleman C500 (EN417) disposable gas cartridges, without a hose and regulator kit.
Should you settle for Low Pressure Cadac Barbecue, you can choose how you wish to operate the BBQ, either from larger refillable gas cylinders or from the gas hook-up on the side of your caravan or motorhome. You can run a Low Pressure model from a R907 gas cylinder coupled with a Campingaz (R907) Hose and Regulator Kit; as an option.
In addition, a Cadac Low Pressure BBQs can also run and operate from our high pressure, disposable, (EN417) threaded gas cartridges (Coleman C300 / Coleman C500) either by using Cadac's Dual Power Pak or Cadac's EN417 Hose and Regulator Kit.
