If you happen to leave the lid of your CFX3 open, the app will send you a notification telling you to close the lid. The CFX3 series features an easy to read high-resolution colour display panel which states the temperature and status of the cool box. Several protection systems are built into the display, including a scratch-resistant cover and IP65 rated housing to protect against dust and water splashes, so you can feel confident wherever you go. The upgraded USB port is now located in the display panel for a faster and more ergonomic way to charge your portable devices. The intuitive user-interface displays the voltage, Bluetooth/WiFi connection status and temperature in colourful graphics. The operating settings of your cool box can be adjusted at the press of a button with a simple menu.

IP stands for Ingress Protection, which considers the extent to which a product is protected against penetration by solid and liquid particles. An IP44 rating verifies that the product has been tested and proved to have effective protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm, such as tools and small wires, as well as against splash water from any angle. The Dometic PLB40 has powerful, integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells, providing an energy supply of 512 Wh. Ideal for powering portable coolboxes and other 12 V appliances while on adventures, the PLB40 provides up to 53 hours of cooling time for a Dometic CFX3 45 on a single charge. The integrated DC-DC charger offers three convenient ways to charge via: the vehicle 12 V socket, solar panel or AC power. The battery’s integrated battery management system protects the PLB40 from under-voltage, over-voltage, short circuiting and overheating for optimum charge time, performance and storage. With this power management system, the Dometic PLB40 has a life cycle which is up to five times longer than more commonly used lead-acid batteries.
