The striking grey and red Raleigh Mustang Gravel bike! The Raleigh Mustang Sport is the mid-entry model within the Mustang range offering a stable, durable and well balanced ride on the beaten track! Lightweight and responsive the Mustang Sport has been built on a double butted 6061 aluminium frame with a tapered head tube and a gravel specific all-carbon fork with tapered alloy steerer.
The Mustang Sport absorbs vibrations while keeping the front end of bike light and smooth for controlled and measured handling and keeping you upright. The gravel road geometry from Raleigh helps you to remain comfortable during the day in the supplied Raleigh R1 saddle. The Mustang Sport is equally geared for a long sportive as it is when flying down a fast gravel track!
The Mustang may look like a road bike but features big differences to go where no road bike can venture. The longer wheelbase and lower bottom bracket height offers a great ground clearance for travelling over varying levels of terrain. The RSP AD2.0 rims are light and fast; they are tubeless ready allowing you to setup giving you even greater protection against punctures. The supplied with Schwalbe CX Comp semi-slick tyres have been developed to roll fast on tarmac and offer grip where required! The axles are much stronger and can greatly withstand the knocks and bumps and ensure that the Tektro Spyre, Dual Actuated Mechanical Disc brakes remain in the correct position. Braking is smooth and left uninterrupted by debris and the breaks can be operated by the responsive feel levers to push your bike to limit.
The Shimano Sora 9-Speed groupset offers simple, reliable and silent shifting! The Shimano Sora 50-34-Tooth crankset provides awesome drive and momentum, to keep the Shimano 10-30-Tooth cassette spinning! On a road bike you can easily spin out and therefore, you can’t provide further drive to keep you moving forward. The 18-speed gearset give you ample of gearing options to take on the hills, ride the flats and manage the ascents.
The Mustangs live on diet of tarmac, pot holes, mud and gravel and ideal for road cyclists and mountain bikers offering a fantastic alternative where both road and mountain bikes have their limitations! A road bike doesn’t have the off-road ability and a mountain bike can be too heavy to ride quickly on smoother surfaces.
