The Bridgford Tornado has been built upon an alloy mountain bike style frame. The frame is both tough and durable for your youngster to kick up some mud, yet offers lightness for ease of control; enables your child to pick themselves up should they have a wobble. Up front the 18” Tornado features a front suspension fork, this hard-tail mountain bike has been designed to take away those stresses and strains that off-road delivers; creates an easier rider when you child is venturing new routes! Junior padded saddle keeps your child in place and non-slip pedals reduces the risk of slipping.
Like all Bridgford Tornados they come fitted with easy to use, easy to adjust and maintain v-brakes, they provide reliable stopping performance. At this age, you child is still developing their balance and control, the Tornado 18” features a single speed gearset; just allows you child to focus balance and control without having a complicated riding experience. With no derailleurs there is also no risk of the chain slipping off! Complete with a single disc chainguard, saves your child’s clothing for snagging in the bike’s moving components.
Condition: New and boxed. 90% built. Inflation of tyres. Fitting of pedals, handlebars/stem and seat post/saddle, adjustments to brake and gear cables required prior to riding. Some bikes may require further assembly, and this may require fitting mudguards, pannier racks, front basket assembly, and stabilisers. Tools required for assembly: cross head screwdriver, 4/5/6mm allen keys, 15mm spanner for pedals. A generic manual is included, but may not include specific assembly instructions. If you are unable to assemble the bike safely, we recommend that the bike is taken to your local bike mechanic for assembly prior to use. For ongoing maintenance, we recommend your bike should be serviced by an approved cycling mechanic.
