Terms and Conditions

Leisure Outlet and DiscoverCycling are the trading names of Holcros Ltd., a UK-based company that complies with UK consumer law, including the Distance Selling Regulations. This means that shopping with Holcros Ltd. is safe and our Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

The Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to cancel your order and return any goods that have already been dispatched up to seven working days from your receipt. Notice of cancellation must be made in writing via letter or email. See our Returns Policy for more information.

Ordering

On our website you may place an order to purchase a product advertised for sale by following the onscreen prompts after clicking the item you wish to purchase. You will be given opportunity to correct any input errors in your order up until the point at which you place and confirm your order on the checkout page. Should you find an error has been made after this then please contact us with the correct information and we will endeavor to make the necessary changes to the order before dispatch however this will not always be possible. We aim to respond to email within 1 working day of receipt and will usually respond sooner however we do recommend you telephone us with any changes required to enable prompt action to be taken.

All orders placed by you, and purchases of goods by you from us, are subject to acceptance by us. We may choose not to accept your order or purchase for any reason and will not be liable to you or anyone else in those circumstances.

Orders placed via our website, telephone or by other means as we may permit are subject to acceptance by us either by (i) by delivery of the goods to you; or (ii) by providing the goods to you at our premises at which point a legally binding contract is constituted between us.

The processing of your payment and acknowledgement of your order does not constitute legal acceptance of your order.

Postage and Delivery

Our standard despatch time is within two to three working days of the payment clearing. Delivery times vary by region, but are typically within 2-5 working days.

The courier service will depend on the product ordered, but our couriers include Royal Mail, City Link, and Yodel. We work closely with our courier services to ensure that your packages arrive in the time frame specified, but should we be unable to meet this timescale, we are not liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience suffered.

We can provide premium delivery within the Mainland UK (excluding Scottish Highlands) at the following rates:

Please Note: During the bank holiday season, there may be a delay in your delivery due to the large number of items travelling through the delivery system. While we and our courier services will endeavour to deliver in the timescales agreed to, we cannot be held responsible or liable in the event of any delays.

We request that, when submitting your order, you provide a contact telephone number which can be used by the courier if they have difficulty in locating you when attempting to delivery.

We will notify you via email or telephone when to expect delivery. This notice will be only the date, as we are unable to provide a specified time. If it is necessary for the courier to attempt delivery a second time, they will leave a card for you to contact them to rearrange the delivery. If a third delivery attempt is required, the cost of delivery will be charged directly to you at an additional £5.00. If delivery is still unsuccessful, then the product will be returned to us. We will then charge you the normal delivery rate for re-delivery, plus an additional £10.00 for the cost of return to Holcros Ltd.

International Delivery

The shipping rates specified on our websites are based on single items weighing up to 20kg. Surcharges will be payable if your order:

  • Has an actual or volumetric weight in excess of 20kg
  • Is a multi-parcel shipment
  • Has any item with a length exceeding 1.2m
  • Is being sent to a delivery address classified as a "remote area" by our carriers

If any of these circumstances apply to your order, we will contact you with details of the additional shipping cost. Alternatively, you have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

In the case of lost packages, damaged items or disputed deliveries, there will be a delay of up to 14 working days for mainland UK and 28 working days for international deliveries before replacement goods can be dispatched. We may also require you to complete a Non-Receipt of Goods Disclaimer Form.

Pricing

All prices on Leisure Outlet and DiscoverCycling include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the standard UK rate of 20%.

While we do our best to ensure that our prices are up to date and correct, occasionally errors may occur and goods may be incorrectly priced. In the event of an error we will not be obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price or at all. We will at our discretion either cancel your order and refund the price you have paid or use reasonable endeavours to contact you and ask if you wish to continue with the order at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you or you do not wish to continue with the order at the correct price, we will cancel your order and refund the price paid.

Payment

Holcros Ltd accepts most major credit cards for online orders on both sites. You will be asked to enter your card details and the name and address of the card holder when you place your order. These details will be checked and we may hold an order until we receive the correct details. You will be contacted if we find the card or address details to be incorrect.

We also accept payment by cheque, postal order and bank transfer. Cheques will be subject to five days' clearance prior to sending your goods.

Due to varying exchange rates, all payments made to Holcros Ltd. must be in UK Pound Sterling (£).

Credit Card Security

We take online security seriously, and have taken several steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially and accurately.

Holcros Ltd uses the security and confidentiality built into the WorldPay and NetSuite ecommerce systems. Your credit card number is held within the NetSuite system to make future purchases easier, but Holcros Ltd does not have access to all the digits of your credit card number, nor do we have access to the security number of your card. This keeps your financial records secure and offers you peace of mind when buying with us.

Holcros Ltd also offers Paypal as a payment option. With Paypal, your financial records and credit card number are never seen by Holcros Ltd.

Privacy Policy

Holcros Ltd. is committed to protecting your privacy.

When you make an online order with us, we will need to know your name, email address, credit card billing address and delivery address. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you about your order status. We also require a telephone number in case we need to contact you. In some cases, your telephone number will also be given to our couriers in order to help with the delivery of your goods.

The information you give us will not be used for any other reason other than processing your order or informing you about the products and services of Holcros Ltd. We will not pass any of your details on to third parties for profit or otherwise.

Product Availability

Holcros Ltd. updates stock availability on a regular basis. Items that are out of stock will be displayed as such. In the rare event of an out-of-stock product being listed as 'In Stock', we will contact you to discuss either cancelling the order or waiting until the item becomes available.

Accuracy of Information

Descriptions and details of the products on this site are, to the best of our knowledge, accurate and correct. Most of the descriptions and details are taken from the manufacturers and distributors, and although we aim for every picture and description to be 100% accurate, mistakes can occur. Images are taken from the manufacturers and are for illustration purposes only. Please let us know if you see or read something that is not correct. And if you have purchased something based on a picture or description on our website which turns out to be incorrect, we will be happy to replace or refund the product. See our Returns Policy for more information.

If we change our Terms & Conditions, we will post any changes on this website page, so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it to other parties.

Holcros Ltd. disclaims damages of any kind, compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties implied or otherwise relating to the use of this site.

Returns Policy

Holcros Ltd., trading as Leisure Outlet, adheres to the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which are designed to protect you when buying items by mail order.

Exchange / Cancellation of Your Order

In the event you wish to exchange goods or cancel your order you must notify us prior to returning. Goods must be returned within 14 days of the receipt of your order.

Where the items are returned because:

  • The product is not compatible with the product it was purchased to be used with
  • You have ordered the wrong product

The Consumer Contract Regulations require you to take reasonable care of any goods that you will be returning, and we ask that you return them in an unused condition with the original packaging.

A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary.

The extent to which a customer can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop.

Goods returned under these circumstances are at your own expense. Returns from international addresses are at the buyer's expense.

Where the items are returned because:

  • We have posted you the wrong part
  • Item specifications are inaccurate

If we send you a part that is different to what is listed on your invoice or if the item specifications on the website were inaccurate, we will make an exchange and either pay your postage costs (for standard class of mailing) for returning the item or arrange collection, dependent on the item in question.

You must ensure that the goods are unused, clean and returned with the original packaging.

A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary.

The extent to which a customer can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop.

Where we are issuing a refund this will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the goods by our warehouse.

If, at our discretion, we agree to accept any returns outside our published Returns Policy, you will be charged a re-stocking fee, minimum of £10 and maximum of 25% the sale price, this will also usually be a store credit and not a refund.

Exchange / Refunds of Faulty, Damaged or Broken Goods

All goods purchased from Holcros Ltd. are covered by a Manufacturer Warranty unless otherwise stated. The duration of this warranty is usually one year, but some manufacturer’s offer an extended warranty and a limited number of products are subject to a shorter warranty.

Warranties cover manufacturing faults and defects, but do not cover damage caused by abuse, general wear and tear, etc.

If you feel that a product you have purchased from Holcros Ltd. has developed a fault, then please contact us before returning the goods, as many problems may be solved without the need for return. You will need to produce photographs of any damaged items when you contact us.

Items found to be faulty within 21 days of receipt can be returned for inspection under the warranty for refund, repair or exchange if covered under the warranty.

If the goods do need to be returned, please keep the goods clean and free from soiling before returning. A full description of the fault must accompany the return.

Within 28 days from the date of receipt, we will pay your postage costs for the return (standard class of mailing, UK only) or arrange collection depending on the item concerned.

Customers making international returns or UK returns over 28 days from the date of receipt are liable for the cost of return postage.

Returns from international addresses are always made at the buyer's expense.

Where we are issuing a refund this will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the goods by our warehouse.

Where a refund is issued following faults found 21 days or over from receipt of the goods by you, this may be subject to a reduction for the use you have had of the goods.
